History

OF BARDAHL

The story of one of the greatest post-war industrial brands began in 1939 in Seattle, USA, when Ole Bardahl developed a revolutionary engine lubricant. After founding the Bardahl Manufacturing Corporation, this engineer of Norwegian origin optimized his formula by testing it in competitions, until his product became number one in sales on the American market in the 1960s.

The adventure continued in 1954 when Jean Leplat, who worked in the textile factory of his father-in-law, proposed to the American brand to become the exclusive distributor in France. His son, Dominique Leplat took over the brand in 1970. In 1991, Dominique Leplat and Evelyne Bardahl (daughter of Ole Bardahl) joined forces and SADAPS BARDAHL became the producer for all of Europe, among others. SADAPS Bardahl has never stopped progressing thanks to its innovations and product developments, both in its national and international market. The BARDAHL brand, today, is still a reference brand. As much for individuals as professionals and high-level athletes.

Today, the Bardahl brand is present on 5 continents and its products are marketed in more than 90 countries. It has production units in the United States, France, Belgium, Italy, Argentina, Mexico and Brazil.
